Getting to Basel and your stay there

All roads lead to Messe Basel. You can reach Igeho conveniently by all means of transport.

Getting there by public transport

From Switzerland

The Basel SBB and Badischer Bahnhof railway stations are both close to the exhibition site and have direct tram routes to the Messeplatz/Exhibition Square tram stop. You will find information on the SBB RailAway special offers at www.sbb.ch/igeho.

From Germany

With the joint special offer from MCH Swiss Exhibition (Basel) Ltd. and German railways (Deutsche Bahn), you can enjoy a relaxed and comfortable journey to Igeho – from any German city directly to Basel Badischer Bahnhof railway station. Book your ticket right now!

Arriving by car/parking

On the A2/A3 motorway (from Switzerland) or the A5 motorway (from Germany), follow the orange signs to "P Messe", which will take you to the visitor car park close to the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (see access map). From there, Basel public transport will be providing a Park-and-Ride service every 10 to 15 minutes to Messe Basel and back every day – from 7:30 to 19:00 (18:00 on the last day of the exhibition). Cost of parking, including the shuttle bus: CHF 20.–/€ 20; parking permitted until 22:00 at the latest.

Please note that the Messe Basel car park is closed to visitors during Igeho.

Coaches may drive onto the exhibition site to let guests (dis-)embark. Coach parking is provided on a car park away from Messe Basel. Drivers will receive a Situation plan at the exhibition site. Please note that the car park for coaches costs CHF 30.- per day and must be payed in cash.

To use Swiss motorways, you must be in possession of an annual sticker (vignette). This costs CHF 40.– and is available at border posts and post offices.

Experience has shown that there is always a great deal of traffic during the exhibition. We thus recommend you to come by public transport.
