The 5-star Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne in Obbürgen not only offers its guests a breathtaking view over Lake Lucerne but is also known far beyond the borders for its exceptional cuisine.
This is mainly thanks to Mike Wehrle and his team. As Corporate Culinary Director, he delights guests of the entire Bürgenstock Collection with French, Asian and Swiss cuisine, including the renowned hotels Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa and the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa in Lausanne. So, it's no wonder that Mike Wehrle was named Chef of the Year in Switzerland by the Karl Wild Hotel Rating in 2023.
Now Mike has moved his culinary skills outside and is a special treat for the guests of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne. In the summer of this year, an impressive Stilgrill outdoor kitchen was opened on the pool terrace of the Oak Grill & Pool Patio Restaurant. This allows guests to watch live as their food is prepared.
The body of the kitchen system and the charging systems are made of stainless steel. The fronts were made of HPL panels specially developed for outdoor use and individually adapted to the color scheme of the terrace. A granite worktop adds the finishing touch to the design. The Stilgrill kitchen system offers the chef numerous possibilities. In addition to a powerful gas grill from Bull, a Big Green Egg has also been integrated.
Thanks to the ingenious ventilation system, the heat from the grill systems can be safely dissipated. There is also space for a sink, two refrigerators and two hold-o-mat systems in the kitchen. In the evening, the safety glass panes illuminated with LEDs create the right atmosphere.
In order to enable the Oak Grill & Pool Patio team to run efficiently, the Stilgrill outdoor kitchen was equipped with a bar where food can be served directly.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
In addition to the permanently installed kitchen systems, mobile units are also available, which are equipped with castors and can be used flexibly on any terrace. You can choose between a gas grill or a Big Green Egg. The small units offer enough storage space for plates and barbecue utensils.
The Stilgrill outdoor kitchens are not only a visual enrichment, it also transforms outdoor cooking into a real experience for your guests.
