Strong association – strong industry
In Switzerland, more than a million people eat in hospital, home and community catering establishments every day. This makes this industry a strong and important economic factor.
The SVG – Schweizer Verband für Spital-, Heim- und Gemeinschaftsgastronomie (Swiss Association for Community Catering) has been supporting the industry since 1962.
The association's primary goals, then and now, are to maintain a strong communication network, the mutual exchange of experiences and a comprehensive, industry-specific training and further education program with offers for all hierarchy levels.
The SVG develops valuable industry-relevant key figures and publishes them. Its association magazine «Salz & Pfeffer», the well-known magazine for gastronomy professionals, it also has a strong means of communication to make the concerns of the industry known to a broad readership.
